The Spirit of the Camp
All of us know how uplifting and encouraging a camp based around the Word of God is and all of us appreciate the reprieve we experience from our hectic day to day lives and all the distractions that go with that.
For this reason, our approach to dress, behaviour and conversation should reflect the example of our Lord who delighted to do the will of his Heavenly Father. Our camp is geared around the Bible Studies and for the children the Sunday School, held each day and attendance at these is therefore expected as they are the primary focus of why we attend a Bible School.
For formal sessions in the hall, a neat casual dress is appropriate with suitable footwear for all, long pants for men and modest skirts/dress for women. The memorial meeting is a more formal occasion and brethren are requested to wear a tie accordingly. Sisters are required to wear a head covering for all meetings.
For recreation, modesty is to be maintained by all, as becomes a brother or sister in Christ. Please particularly bear this in mind when using the swimming pool, females are not to wear bathers with exposed midriffs and males not to wear speedo style bathers.
We politely ask that electronic devices be kept to a minimum to ensure the least amount of distraction and to maximise our time together around God’s word - to build up and to strengthen each other on our journey to God’s Kingdom. In the spirit of separation and seeking after holiness, no alcohol is to be consumed at the Bible School (emblems excepted). This also applies to smoking and non-medical drugs.
To ensure that we are all refreshed and ready to focus on the studies, it is requested that everyone has returned to their houses by 11pm please.
