The 2018 Bible School was lead by brother Brendon Clark on the subject of 'Peter: Fisher of Men'. The process of shaping Peter as a disciple with unwavering faith, on whom the Lord could build the ecclesia would take time and patience and would not always go smoothly. We were humbled and inspired by the example of this great man and learned to ask ourselves the compelling questions that Peter himself faced in his spiritual growth.
The children enjoyed Sunday School lessons on some exciting stories from the life of Peter, making some wonderful creations to go with the lessons.
Some of the work the Sunday School students achieved over the weekend.
Nearly 240 people attended the Bible School and there was a wonderful spirit of fellowship and enjoyment the whole weekend. Sports, swimming, a mountain bike ride, go kart building and racing, a challenging high ropes course and a cafe were enjoyed in the afternoons.
In the evenings we were inspired about prophecy fulfilled in the history of Israel - particularly around the 70 year anniversary of Israel becoming a nation. We were sobered and encouraged with the nearness of our Lord's return in a current events night examining the environmental crisis the world faces and the impact of technology on our lives and on the world. The final evening was lots of fun for the kids with games and quizzes entertaining everyone.
