Staying There
When is the camp in 2023?
Pinjarra Bible School will run from late of Thursday the 6th until lunchtime Monday the 10th of April, if the Father permits.
Where will I stay?
The Fairbridge Campsite is a heritage-listed village, with accommodation in the original English inspired cottages. The cottages, built in the early 1920s through to the late 30s and scattered amongst native trees, offer accommodation sizes ranging from 2 to 54 people. All cottages are self-contained, with their own kitchens, dining spaces and bathrooms. Bedding is included with some of the cottages and attendees who arrive by air are generally offered these cottages. Alternatively, we can help with arranging bedding.
Who will I stay with?
If you have people who you would like to share a cottage with please feel free to request this. Our committee will make every effort to accommodate you with those you request, if possible. If you don't know anyone, don't worry! We will make sure that you are surrounded by warm, friendly people who are happy to share the camp with you.
Is there a house for teenagers and young people?
Absolutely! Scratton Lodge is the largest house at Fairbridge, sleeping 56. It is divided into two wings with the kitchen and dining area in the middle. Each wing has its own bathroom. This is reserved for the young people. Each evening a meditation will be held in Scratton after supper. Those aged 16 and over are encouraged to book into Scratton. Young people are encouraged to support each other and develop stronger relationships by going together in one house.
How is the weekend catered for?
Each house provides its own catering, except for the communal meal on Saturday evening. Morning teas and suppers are provided and so is bread and milk for each house for the weekend. Each house has its own kitchen facilities. To try and make this easier for those attending, several meals have been put on which can be booked into at an additional cost (see below).
Interstate visitors will have meals provided for them, mostly in the cottage where they are staying. For the 2022 camp, the following meals will either be communal or made available for a small additional fee:
- Friday dinner - special fundraising dinner
- Saturday lunch - hamburger fundraising lunch
- Saturday dinner - communal
- Sunday afternoon - cafe
- Sunday evening - special supper
